Intro to Automating with Playbooks
Use playbooks to automate routing of findings to the appropriate people and apps for further actions. Playbooks are available for the following modules:
- Web
- Social Media
- App Store
- Dark Web
Components of a Playbook
A playbook consists of:
- an output definition
- a query
- a connector
- a schedule
The output definition defines the attributes to include and in what format.
The query selects the data to be sent.
The connector defines the app that will receive the data. Email is the default.
The schedule defines when the data will be sent and how often.
Web Playbook Templates
For Web Module playbooks, you can start with a template that has the first three components already defined.
How to Start
Your starting point with playbooks depends on the type of playbook you want to create:
- For Web Module playbooks, it’s easiest to start with a template.
- For other playbooks, you’ll need to start from scratch.
